WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 14, 2011) – The American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Executive Committee today elected two individuals to serve on its board of directors.

Through the leadership of these companies, ACC will continue to be the industry’s leading voice, advocating for sound government policy to ensure that we remain globally competitive.”
The ACC Board of Directors sets council policy, provides overall strategic direction and approves advocacy priorities and the annual budget.
Mr. Georges Crauser, President of Solvay Essential Chemicals North America and Mr. Frederick Palensky, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Research and Development at 3M were both appointed to the Board of Directors and the Board Chemical Management Committee. Mr. Crauser was also appointed to the Board Global Strategy Committee.
