The American Chemistry Council’s Nanotechnology Panel is composed of companies engaged in the production, distribution, and/or use of chemicals with business interests in the products and applications of nanotechnology. The Panel is actively involved in advocating the use of information and the completion of research on nanomaterials that facilitate understanding and manage the health and environmental issues associated with nanoscale materials.
Additionally, the panel promotes the responsible development of nanoscale materials in accordance with Responsible Care, supports the use of existing regulatory frameworks for managing nanomaterials and seeks to engage other stakeholders in order to develop and maintain a public awareness and understanding of nanotechnology.

what's new Save the Date On Monday, September 22, 2008 at 2:00 pm. in Dirksen Office Building – Room G-11, the Congressional Nanotechnology Caucus will host a briefing entitled: “Nanotechnology and the Forest and Paper Products Industry.” The panel of speakers for this briefing will be announced later in the week. Panelists will present information on nanotechnology R&D involving wood and paper products, such as biopolymer nanocomposites and cellulose fibrils, and will discuss the Agenda 2020 Technology Alliance directed by the American Forest & Paper Association. This will be the final briefing by the Congressional Nanotechnology Caucus for the 110th Congress.
