30 Years of Promoting Phosgene Safety

In 1972, the US manufacturers of phosgene formed the Panel to improve industry’s ability to safely manufacture, handle, and use phosgene. The Panel has provided a means for industrial operations to collectively sponsor research and engineering studies focused on maximum worker safety. Members of the Panel have shared information on experiences and the development of beneficial practices. Our primary goal has always been to strive for continuous improvement in promoting safety and in reducing and preventing incidents.
