Through the Long-Range Research Initiative (LRI), the chemical industry sponsors research to expand scientific knowledge of the potential impacts that chemicals may have on the health of human and wildlife populations and the environment. The LRI expands the industry’s commitment to Responsible Care® – the chemical industry’s global initiative to improve environment, health, and safety.
Responsible Care® pledges each member company of ACC to extend scientific knowledge through the conduct or support of research, to make continuous improvements in product stewardship through better testing and screening tools, and to support science-based public policy decisions.
