The Chemical Products and Technology Division of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) provides technical and management services to support chemical or issue-specific industry coalitions. U.S. and foreign companies actively participate in panels. Large and small manufacturers, formulators, downstream users and distributors are some of the chemical industry entities that are Chemical Products and Technology Division's panel members. In addition, several other trade associations also participate in the panels.
The Chemical Products and Technology Division focuses on:
Advocacy - by managing advocacy efforts that promote and defend products and positions in a credible and ethical manner.
Research - by managing research projects to promote the development of the highest quality information on health, safety, economics and the environment, and by serving as a technical resource.
Education - by managing the development of forums and materials in a variety of media for panel members’ use in educating employees, government officials, academia, other industry organizations, and the public.
Communication - by managing the development and dissemination of information to further the understanding of panel members’ products and positions.
Evaluation – by engaging in many types of assessment-related activities as well as managing the development of benchmarking projects and disseminating the results.
