employee benefits

At the American Chemistry Council, the benefit plans available to our valued staff members are an important component of the total compensation program.  We offer all of the standard benefits that you would expect from a leading employer.  As a regular full time or regular part-time employee working 30 or more hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in a variety of benefit plans designed to meet your current and future needs.

Listed below is a brief summary of the benefits offered by the Council.

Health & Wellness Programs

  • Health care – We offer three options for healthcare; a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and a Point Of Service (POS).  Each of these three comprehensive coverage options include prescription drug and vision coverage. You are eligible to participate in the medical plan on the first of the month following your date of employment.
  • Dental care – We have a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) style dental plan. You are eligible to participate in the dental plan on the first of the month following your date of employment.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) – You may elect to deduct pretax dollars from your paycheck to help you save money on your eligible out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses.  You may contribute up to an annual maximum of  $7,500 for allowable medical expenses and up to $5,000 for dependent care expenses. You are eligible to participate in the FSA plan on the first of the month following your date of employment.
Life and Accident Insurance – Coverage is provided to you in order to protect the financial security of your beneficiaries should you die while employed at ACC.  This plan provides you with basic coverage of two times your annual salary. You are eligible to participate in the life insurance plan on the first of the month following your date of employment.
  • Long Term Disability Insurance – This plan is provided to protect your financial security should you become medically disabled and lose your ability to financially support your family.  You are eligible to participate in the LTD Plan after 30 days of employment.
