CHEMICAL PRODUCTS & TECHNOLOGY DIVISION; Manager, ChemITC
The Manager of ChemITC directs technical, scientific, advocacy and communications related issues for the self-funded chemical panel established within ACC’s Chemical Products and Technology Division (CPTD). This position reports directly to the Managing Director, CPTD and oversees the Chemical Information Technology Center. The Manager works with ACC member companies to establish the overall mission of the ChemITC panel and manage budget, staff and internal/external resources to meet goals and objectives. The Manager also coordinates their activities with ACC’s overall efforts to maximize impact and value for the US chemical industry and often represent their panels before Federal, State and international organizations.  » view details

PLASTICS DIVISION; Coordinator, Advocacy and Industry Statistics
The Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of marketing and promotional plans for ACC’s statistical publications, and assists in the development of such plans. The Coordinator assists in the management of programs and activities of the ACC Plastics Industry Producers’ Statistics (PIPS) Group.  » view details

PLASTICS DIVISION; Director Sustainability & Recycling
The Director, Sustainability and Recycling reports to the Senior Director, Sustainability and Public Outreach, and is responsible for identifying, leveraging and managing programs to demonstrate the sustainability and increase the recycling of plastic products. Sustainability programs will include energy recovery, energy efficiency, material light-weighting, and lifecycle approaches, municipal and residential recycling, and litter abatement.  » view details

PLASTICS DIVISION; Manager, Public Relations
The Manager, Public Relations reports to the Director, Consumer/Public Outreach, and is responsible for ensuring that all external messages to the media, membership, value chain and other key audiences as identified are factually correct, compelling, delivered in a timely manner, focused on achieving the Division’s strategic objectives, and are consistent with ACC policies. The manager is responsible for providing public relations support to all of the market teams and work groups, and on occasion to product advocacy groups and to broader sustainability efforts. This includes preparing and disseminating press releases, statements, letters to the editor, op-ed pieces, and newsletters, and for ensuring that the Division’s website contains compelling, regularly updated content.  » view details

PLASTICS DIVISION; Senior Director, Sustainability/Public Outreach
The Senior Director reports to the Managing Director for the Plastics Division, and is responsible for evaluating needs and making recommendations on strategic direction for sustainability and public outreach programs, and for implementing agreed programs in a manner that is consistent with Division and ACC-wide policies and objectives. The sustainability and public outreach programs for which the Senior Director will be directly responsible include: the Division’s National Positioning Campaign to demonstrate the innovative products and capacity of the plastics industry; increasing awareness of and public access to recycling; developing public communication strategies, programs and partnerships to address plastic litter and marine debris; identify and leverage a role for plastics in energy recovery; and reach consumers and target audiences with accurate and timely information on plastics.  » view details

REGULATORY & TECHNICAL AFFAIRS; Senior Director, Security
The Sr. Director manages strategic and operational elements of the Council’s security advocacy, including issues related to physical site security and potential attacks on the industry’s information technology resources (cyber security). The Sr. Director may also provide technical expertise and support on other regulatory advocacy issues and priorities. In conjunction with the Security Committee and other appropriate ACC policy committees, the Sr. Director develops and executes the Council’s advocacy policies and strategies;provides leadership in the development of advocacy strategies in the regulatory and legislative arenas, and identifies, analyzes, prioritizes and recommends the appropriate action for issues of concern to the Council and its members; works to coordinate the industry’s planning for and responses to major natural disasters; works closely with staff in other ACC departments to assure ACC’s advocacy and policy objectives are fully integrated across departments.  » view details
