ACC Announces Cabot Corporation As Newest Member and Groendyke Transport, Inc as a Responsible Care® Partner Company
ARLINGTON, VA (November 12, 2009) – The American Chemistry Council (ACC) today announced that Cabot Corporation will become the newest member company. Additionally, Groendyke Transport, Inc. was accepted as Responsible Care Partner Company. ACC currently has 134 members and 76 Responsible Care Partners.
Cabot Corporation President and CEO, Patrick M. Prevost, said, “Cabot Corporation has a strong history of leadership in upholding the principles that ACC represents. We are pleased to become a part of the ACC organization and believe that our mutual interests in advocacy and industry performance will help ensure that the business of chemistry remains a vibrant and integral part of the American marketplace.”

The Responsible Care Partnership Program was created by the ACC in 1993 to extend the U.S. chemical industry’s signature performance ethic throughout the chemical supply chain. Through the Partnership Program, supply chain companies engaged in the transport, storage, use or treatment of chemicals, commit to uphold the same Responsible Care practices and obligations as ACC member companies.
