ACC Implements New Branding Program
ARLINGTON, VA (January 16, 2007) – The American Chemistry Council (ACC) today announced a significant re-branding of the organization, completing the merger with the American Plastics Council (APC) and further integrating many functions within the ACC.
“This robust effort at ACC will allow the organization to operate at peak efficiency and help us to deliver maximum value to our members,” said Jack N. Gerard, President and CEO of ACC. “This change has been a long time in coming. It fully completes the merger with APC and realizes the vision for the organization towards which the board of directors has been working for several years now.”
Among the many changes at ACC, effective January 16, 2007, APC becomes the Plastics Division of the American Chemistry Council. The Chlorine Chemistry Council becomes the Chlorine Chemistry Division of the American Chemistry Council, and other specific product panels will come under the American Chemistry brand.
Continued Gerard, “Our stakeholders will still work with the same talented executives and experts here at ACC. We believe that by streamlining our identity and associating all of the components of ACC with the industry brand, we will provide the industry with a stronger voice in Washington, DC and in the state capitals.”
These changes and others will streamline and integrate 25 separate brands under the ACC umbrella, and will integrate and consolidate 50 separate web sites across the organization. A few of the changes are included below:
