Welcome to the Truck Bed Liner Health and Safety site of the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI). CPI is the industry association representing U.S. producers or distributors of chemicals and equipment used to make polyurethane and manufacturers of polyurethane products.
Truck bed lining products have protected vehicles from wear and tear over many years through the application of polyurethane, polyurea or polyurea hybrid systems. Though polyurethane and polyurea products protect the truck bed, the actual spray application of these products requires specific handling and care.
This site is intended to help the owners and employees of truck bed lining businesses learn about important worker safety and health information and the most recent developments in the truck bed liner industry related to these issues.
Additionally, CPI and several regional offices of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have established Alliances to work together to reduce and prevent exposures of diisocyanates during the application of spray-on truck bed liners.
