The Plastics Division of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) represents leading manufacturers of plastic resins.  We advocate unlimited opportunities for plastics and promote their economic, environmental and societal benefits. To accomplish our mission we demonstrate the benefits of plastic products and the contributions of the plastics industry to the society it serves. We also demonstrate that plastics are an efficient use of natural resources and that plastics and the industry are part of the solution to the public's performance expectations with regard to the environment, safety and sustainability. Our member companies are among the nation's largest manufacturers of plastic resins.

Much of our work is focused in four key plastics markets: Packaging and Consumer Products, Building and Construction, Automotive, and Electrical and Electronics. 

ACC’s Plastics Division works closely with ACC’s other plastics-oriented business groups:  the Plastics Foodservice Packaging Group, the Polycarbonate/BPA Global Group,  the Rigid Plastic Packaging Group, the Transportation and Logistics Group, the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry and the Progressive Bag Affiliates.
