Raves for Hands On Plastics™

Since its launch in April of 2000, a number of educators have taken the time to write in to let us know how we're doing. Below is a list of some of the comments we have received. We always welcome feedback, so write us and let us know what you think!

Read the latest praise for Hands On Plastics™:
"Outstanding! Something I can use - important!"
"Excellent! I just love the fact that the activities can be used in all grade levels."
"Thank you for investing in our children. Science can be very expensive. Thank you for 'thinking out of the box'."
"This is a great workshop that will help me to teach my students how to write lab reports, tables, how to identify variables and constant."
"I have been totally intimidated about teaching polymers in the past! This is great!"
"Wow! This is something I can really use. Plastic is "science" - for all of us!"

"What a WONDERFUL web site. I just found out about it in an in-service class. I ordered the kit and scanned throught the activities. I will be able to expand my polymer project by a whole bunch, using the activities and information at this site. Thanks for being so teacher and student friendly!"
"WOW, I was so happy to see this kit just when I needed it!!! I have paid for this kit twice it is so good! I am so glad that it is available for free. I am mailing 35 teachers mailing addresses for you to send this kit to."
"I work in recycling industry and often have to go to schools and give 'interesting' presentations to a wide variety of ages. I just wanted to say that you guys have put together a great web page and have made my job a lot easier. Thanks!"
"I just wanted to let you know that I ordered the Hands On Kit along with the mousepad from your website recently. The kit was sent to me promptly, and in fact, arrived at my door within one week. Thank you for that. Secondly, I'd like to tell you that I have looked over the lesson plans, activities, and the contents of the kit. We are homeschoolers and I am very grateful for your efforts toward education. Thank you very very much for the kit and for your efforts. I definitely plan on incorporating it in our upcoming school year."
"Thank you for the great teaching tool. My summer school class on the environment had a terrific time doing the experiments. I had students going into 5th and 6th grades, so we did the labs as a large group, with individuals coming up to do the different experiments. It went along well with our recycling discoveries and why we can only take #1 and #2 to our local center."
"I've had a look at your site and at the plastic kit and will be endorsing your site as a real deal for educators."

"Today we had our annual Recycling Awards Assembly. We have been doing an aluminum recycling program for about 8 or nine years. Today as an added bonus we invited the coordinator for recycling for the elementary school from our city to come and give the children a heads up on recycling. One of the items she showed was your kit. Needless to say, I was totally fascintated with it. I am the coordinator on our campus for the teachers. I quickly showed our third grade teacher the kit. He, too, was very impressed. I have already requested a sample kit for myself so I can go around to the other classes to show them your fantastic teaching kit. I was wondering...would it be possible to order 3 more kits? I would like one for each of the grade levels on our campus. I think it could benefit second through fourth graders. They were very interested in the information during our assembly. I thank you for putting out useful information to our teachers. It is very important getting information to the very young about ways of saving our earth. Thanks again for the neat product."

"I have received your Hands On Plastics™ kit, and I think it is great! It's exactly what I had been looking for!"
"We have 7 teachers at our high school trying to share one kit. Could we get a few more kits>>>>>>>THEY ARE AWESOME!"
"Thank you so very much for the free teaching resource--the 'Hands On Plastics™ ' kit. My students--grades 2-5 gifted education--have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the polymers and testing the resins. They have been challenged to create projects for the Science Fair (2000-01) and urge community leaders to initiate curbside recycling!"
"I received a sample kit and think it is terrific."
"One of my fifth grade students did a polymer plastics demonstration for our entire class. I was so impressed with the experiments and it gave my students hands on experiences on density. What a great kit!"
"I would like to thank your company for the "Hands On Plastics™ Investigation Kit" I received at the CESI Luncheon during the NSTA 2000 National Convention in Orlando. The unit topic currently being taught in my 6th grade science classes is chemistry. Your kit and lesson suggestions will provide an added enhancement to my program."
"Thanks for sending me a Hands On Plastics™ kit - before I came to work at Classroom Connect, I taught middle school - I wish I'd had this material then! I am hoping to use some of the plastics lessons this summer at the Boys and Girls Club in my neighborhood."
"I was at the NSTA convention in Orlando and received a kit at the breakfast. I teach second grade and am using the kit now as we talk about our recycling unit. I love the kit and it works so well for showing the kids the plastic pellets as I am explaining the recycling of plastics. We use to have a speaker come in and show the students all of the different pellets and then that got cut because of budget cuts. So I was very excited to receive this kit."
