Becoming an Auditor

Individuals interested in becoming certified to conduct RCMS® or RC14001® audits must meet the requirements found in Document RC205.04. Auditors must meet ACC experience and knowledge criteria; attend and pass an approved Responsible Care® auditor training course; pass a Responsible Care auditor test administered by the Board of Environment, Health and Safety Auditor Certifications (BEAC). Individuals who meet these criteria must apply for official certification as a Responsible Care auditor with BEAC (www.beac.org) or RABQSA International (www.rabqsa.com). After achieving certification, individual auditors may conduct RCMS/RC14001 audits provided they work for an auditing firm that meets the requirements of RC204.04. Auditors wishing to conduct RC14001 audits must also meet existing ISO 14001 requirements
