Get Out The Vote (GOTV)

We are a nation of many voices, and on Election Day, every voice counts.  The American Chemistry Council encourages you to make YOUR voice heard by being a registered, educated and active voter!

2008 is a critical election year.  All 435 seats of the U.S. House of Representatives and 35 U.S. Senate seats will be decided.  Eleven states will choose governors.  And, of course, on November 4, 2008, our nation will also choose a new President.

Will you be ready to Impact Chemistry?

Voting Essentials
This section includes critical resources and deadlines for making sure you register to vote, apply for absentee ballots, vote early at local election offices, and find your polling location.  There are also phone numbers and links to your state election officials, who can answer any specific questions you might have about elections where you are.

The Road To The White House
In 2008, the American people will elect their forty-fourth president.  Find out about the candidates as well as the lengthy and seemingly complex process that takes us from over a dozen candidates to the handful on the general election ballot to the one person sworn in on January 20, 2009.

Federal and State Elections
Every day decisions are being made about your life, your livelihood, and your community.  Learn about the officeholders and candidates in your area and find out whether they are making policy decisions supportive of the business of chemistry and consistent with your views.

GOTV ToolKit
