Council of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CSME)

Representing over 80 companies, our Council of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CSME) is the leading industry forum for senior executives from small and medium sized chemical manufacturers.

Small and medium-sized companies account for more than 50 percent of ACC’s regular membership, and are prominently represented on ACC’s Board of Directors and advocacy platforms. Through its exceptional advocacy, business and networking opportunities, technical expertise and strong product and market sector support, ACC continues to attract small and medium-sized companies.

Strategically positioned as the primary voice for SMEs in the chemical manufacturing industry, ACC’s CSME delivers business value through the following:

  • Advocacy
  • Networking
  • Compliance and regulatory guidance
  • Benchmarking
  • Tailored Responsible Care® readiness assessment
  • Dues incentive*

ACC is committed to improved environmental, health and safety performance through the world-class Responsible Care initiative, participation in which is a condition of ACC membership.

*Qualifying companies receive a one-time, three year dues waiver to aid in the implementation of Responsible Care.

ACC’s Council of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CSME) provides a special venue to advocate on priority issues from the perspectives of small and medium sized companies. Smaller companies can be disproportionately impacted by government policies and the CSME responds to those particular needs through focused advocacy, compliance assistance, and other activities tailored to smaller manufacturers. The CSME is an important part of ACC’s strategic program and one that delivers real business value to its members.
