CHEMTREC®: Emergency Services Specialist

The position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the assigned shift within the CHEMTREC Operations Center. The position reports directly to the On-Duty Operations Manager.

CHEMTREC®: Manager, Sales

This position is responsible for achieving sales goals as well as ensuring consistent and profitable sales revenues growth through positive planning, deployment and management of sales resources. The position is also responsible for identifying objectives, strategies and action plans for purposes of improving short- and long-term sales and earnings. The position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Sales.

Communications: Manager, Product Safety Communications

The position is responsible for providing high-level writing, research and social media support for the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) communications efforts around product safety and stakeholder outreach. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Communications.

Communications, Sustainability and Market Outreach: Managing Director, Responsible Care

The position is responsible for leading and managing the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Responsible Care® program, the chemical industry’s world class environment, health and safety initiative. Working closely with the Executive Vice President and other members of ACC’s senior leadership team, this position will develop strategies to enhance the value of Responsible Care to ACC members and Responsible Care Partner companies and oversee the direction and execution of the key elements of the Responsible Care program (i.e., management systems certification, security, performance measures, and oversight functions). This position will support the ACC board of directors committee on Responsible Care, lead member company committees and workgroups and manage Responsible Care staff and consultants. The position reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Communications, Sustainability and Market Outreach.

Communications, Sustainability and Market Outreach: Senior Director, Sustainability Policies and Standards

The position is responsible for developing policies and practices that incorporate science and risk and life-cycle-based approaches for adoption by ACC members and acceptance by priority sectors, standards setting bodies and relevant international, federal, state policy-making bodies. The position is also responsible for oversight of sector-specific work streams and works closely with Responsible Care staff and other key stakeholders. The position reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Communications, Sustainability & Market Outreach.

Federal Affairs: Director

The position is responsible for leading Federal Affairs’ engagement with product panel groups as well as understanding their interests in active and proposed legislation. The position is also responsible for policy strategy, focusing on chemical science issues, scheduling and facilitating meetings with legislators on behalf of the product panel groups, responding to regulatory inquiries and testifying at public hearings. The position is further responsible for leading the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) chemical management reform issues with chemical value chain members, through management of the American Alliance for Innovation (AAI), as well as other appropriate avenues. The position collaborates with appropriate in-house ACC colleagues and reports directly to the Vice President, Federal Affairs.

Legal Services: Assistant General Counsel

The position is responsible for providing legal counsel and policy support on American Chemistry Council (ACC) advocacy issues related to chemical products, protecting ACCs legal interests, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. The position is also responsible for managing legal matters in assigned areas, including assisting in the selection of outside counsel as needed, managing outside counsel, and ensuring projects come in at or below budget. The position coordinates legal issues with appropriate in-house ACC colleagues and reports directly to the Deputy General Counsel.

Meetings, Conferences and Program Development: Coordinator

The position is responsible for serving as the initial point-of-contact within the Meetings, Conferences and Program Development department. The position is also responsible for booking and supporting off-site meetings and events, as needed. The position is further responsible for assisting with planning events, managing all registration questions, answering publications inquiries, providing general information on team projects and completing updates on member company demographics and mailing lists. The position reports directly to the Managing Director, Meetings, Conferences and Program Development.

Responsible Care®: Manager 

The position is responsible for supporting the management and implementation of the Responsible Care program, the chemical industry’s environment, health, safety and security program. This position will serve as a point of contact for participating companies to support their understanding of and reporting against performance measures, as well as developing, visualizing and interpreting benchmarking and annual metrics reporting surveys. The position will also support the management of the Responsible Care member governance process including supporting the preparation for working and board level meetings and will help coordinate between Responsible Care and complementary industry sustainability initiatives. The position reports directly to the Director, Responsible Care.

State Affairs: Manager, Southeastern Region, Atlanta, GA 

The position is responsible for implementing the day-to-day activities of the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) political grassroots program, including state legislative and regulatory tracking of various issues impacting member companies. The position is also responsible for monitoring state legislative and regulatory agency activities, developing advocacy materials for grassroots and lobbying efforts, interacting with contract lobbyists and consultants as well as representing the ACC before legislative and regulatory negotiations. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Southern Region.
