WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 7, 2012) - The American Chemistry Council today launched advertisements commending Senator David Vitter for his support of policies that will build a strong manufacturing base in America.

"As one of America's largest manufacturing industries, we want to acknowledge Senator Vitter's leadership on issues that will stimulate our economy and get people in Louisiana and across the country back to work, like a comprehensive energy policypro-growth tax policies and rational science-based regulation ," explained Cal Dooley , President and CEO of the American Chemistry Council.

Dooley added, "In a time when so much of the political discussion Americans see is negative, it's important to highlight the positive work Senator Vitter is doing to promote the two most important issues facing our country-economic growth and job creation."

The advertisements will run on broadcast and cable television in the New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Shreveport media markets for three weeks.  The ads will encourage constituents to contact Senator Vitter's office and tell him to keep up the good work.
