WASHINGTON (February 19, 2015) - This year's  Global Chemical Regulations Conference and Exhibition (GlobalChem) will take place March 2 - 4, at the Hilton Baltimore in Baltimore, Md. The annual conference provides industry leaders, regulators and stakeholders an opportunity to learn more about the latest developments around the world for managing the safe use of chemicals.

The three-day conference, hosted by the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA), kicks off with a fundamentals workshop that will take a comprehensive look at the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) , as well as federal regulatory compliance and international chemical regulation. The  agenda features two keynote speakers. Professor John Graham of the University of Indiana will discuss lessons from current regulatory programs in Europe, Canada and the United States, and Dr. Tom Lyon of the University of Michigan will discuss the intersection of voluntary environmental programs and corporate social responsibility.

Additionally, Wendy Cleland-Hamnett of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will provide insight into the Agency's regulatory priorities for this year. Over the course of the conference, attendees will also hear from experts on a wide range of important topics, including risk assessments , green chemistry and nanotechnology .
