WASHINGTON (June 9, 2021) – The American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) board of directors today approved and welcomed five new members to serve on ACC’s board of directors, with terms beginning today.

The ACC board of directors sets council policy, provides strategic direction, and approves advocacy priorities and the annual budget.

The following individuals were approved to serve on the ACC board of directors:

  • Phil Brown - Managing Director of ICL Americas Region – ICL Group
  • Bruce Chinn - CEO – Chevron Phillips Chemical Corporation
  • Mike Finelli – Chief North American Officer - Solvay
  • Mike Heinz - Designee Chairman and CEO - BASF Corporation
  • George Koutsaftes - President Honeywell Advanced Materials – Honeywell

“Our board’s expertise and strong leadership will continue to guide us as we navigate a challenging legislative and regulatory landscape at the local, state, federal, and international levels,” said ACC President and CEO Chris Jahn. “It’s vital that we continue to advance sound, risk-based public policy that supports the safe, innovative, and effective chemical products and technologies that are key to helping solve some of the world’s greatest challenges. ” he added.
