Time Is Running Out for Poster Submissions and Conference Discounts
WASHINGTON (August 7, 2014) - Deadlines for the
2014 Polyurethanes Technical Conference
are fast approaching. In the next three weeks, attendees will no longer be able to submit poster abstracts or receive discounted conference registration and hotel accommodations. Available spaces in the Polyurethane Professional Development Program (PDP) and conference sponsorships are also quickly filling. Hosted by the
Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI)
of the American Chemistry Council, the conference will take place at the
Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center
in Dallas from Sept. 22 to 24.
"We're very excited about this year's conference offerings," said CPI Senior Director Lee Salamone. "Our lineup of technical sessions spans the depth and breadth of the industry, the professional development program is more popular than ever, and already we have an impressive number of registered attendees."

Poster Abstracts
Friday, Aug. 22 is the deadline to submit
poster abstracts
for this year's conference. Posters may focus on a variety of topics including breakthrough technologies in the polyurethane market or chemistry, and the resulting advancements in everything from the medical industry to rigid foam insulation and coatings. Posters may also demonstrate the increased use of polyurethane in various markets such as medical or fiberboard, or advancements in product areas such as rigid foam insulation or coatings. Posters addressing environmental and stewardship issues, such as product emissions and end-of-life management, are also accepted. Throughout the three days of the conference, accepted posters will be displayed in the Table Top Exhibit Hall, a central gathering place for all conference attendees. Don't miss your chance to share your research with your colleagues.

Polyurethane Professional Development Program
CPI's professional development program, the Polyurethane PDP, begins on Sunday, Sept. 21, one day ahead of the official conference opening, and runs through Tuesday, Sept. 23. These education and training courses provide unmatched opportunities for participants to increase their industry knowledge. The PDP's eight courses run concurrently with the technical conference and range from broad, introductory subjects such as "PU 101: Introduction to Polyurethane Chemistry" to advanced, specialized topics such as "PU 204: Physical Testing of Polyurethane Foams." All courses are taught by subject-matter experts. For a complete list of PDP courses, visit the
conference registration website
.
Only registered conference attendees may participate in the PDP. Whether attending one or more courses, PDP tuition is a flat fee of $200 in addition to regular conference registration. This fee includes course materials. Participants must
register
for each PDP course of interest to receive the appropriate training materials. Onsite registration is available, though attendees are encouraged to secure their spots early.
