Premier Industry Event Offers Unmatched Learning and Networking Opportunities
WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 6, 2011)

Polyurethanes 2011 Technical Conference
! Do not miss your chance to hear about the latest technology and research from the best in the industry. Hosted by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council, the conference will take place September 26 to 28 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. Register by September 25 and save $100!
"This year's conference schedule is packed with unparalleled networking and professional development opportunities for industry professionals," said Lee Salamone, senior director of CPI. "During the three-day conference, attendees will have the chance to meet industry leaders from around the world, all while learning about the latest industry developments."
Throughout the conference, attendees will have numerous opportunities to network with industry leaders and colleagues at events, including the popular Industry Reception. CPI will also host tabletop exhibits where companies and industry professionals from a range of disciplines will showcase their products and services. In addition, presenters will highlight new, cutting-edge technologies in market and product areas, providing opportunities for discussion during the conference's poster sessions.
CPI will also offer its popular Polyurethane Professional Development Program (PDP) during the conference. Kicking off one day ahead of the official conference opening, the Polyurethane PDP will begin on Sunday, September 25, and offers eight seminars taught by industry experts. During the three-day program, attendees can take advantage of seminars on topics ranging from introductory polyurethane chemistry and technology to physical testing and raw materials. To participate in the PDP program, participants must register for the conference and pay a $150 fee. This is a single set fee of $150 whether attending one or all of the classes. The fee also includes course materials. Participants must register for each seminar of interest to receive the appropriate training materials. The

Featuring more than 60 technical presentations, the Polyurethanes 2011 Technical Conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest innovations, technical developments and issues affecting the global polyurethanes industry. This year's sessions will feature topics including appliances and cold chain; automotive; coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers; chemistry and fundamentals; construction; elastomers and footwear; environment, health and safety; flame retardants and combustibility; flexible foams; processing innovations; and renewable content polyols.
During the conference closing session, CPI will present its annual
, which recognizes the efforts and foresight of companies and individuals whose vision and perseverance bring new products and technologies to the marketplace. This year's closing session will also release the findings from CPI's biennial end-use market survey. The

presents historic trends by market segment and identifies possible new applications and uses.
