Longest-running Polyurethanes Conference in North America Expected to Draw Professionals from Across the Industry

WASHINGTON (April 4, 2018) – Registration is now open for the 61st Polyurethanes Technical Conference, which will be held Oct. 1-3 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. Hosted by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), this premiere conference brings together leaders and experts each year to discuss and learn about the latest innovations and creative applications for polyurethane chemistry.

“The Polyurethanes Technical Conference brings together the most innovative minds in the industry to learn and share ideas about key developments affecting our industry,” said Lee Salamone, senior director of CPI. “For more than six decades, our approach has fostered the creativity, education and technical insights that propel the polyurethanes industry forward.”

During the 2018 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, specialized technical sessions will cover the latest innovations, advancements and applications for polyurethanes, and end-use markets ranging from automotive, construction, coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) as well as topics related to sustainability, processing advances and global regulatory insights. The 2018 Technical Conference will also offer its Professional Development Program, which is taught by current industry experts, to provide insight to current and future leaders on polyurethanes chemistry, application, testing and safety-related topics.

“Each year we work hard to create a thought-provoking program that delivers excellence in instruction and reflects our growing industry,” said Laura Schreiner, CPI’s 2018 conference chair and research and development manager at Stepan Company. “This year’s lineup will allow participants to learn from trailblazers in the field, share ideas with their peers and gain valuable insight from senior-level regulators.”
