WASHINGTON (January 24, 2014) – Next week in Palm Springs, Calif., the Spray Foam Coalition (SFC) will host a training room at the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance’s (SPFA) Convention and Expo. The SFC will also have a booth offering information about the benefits of spray polyurethane foam (SPF), along with information on health and safety practices, including Guidance on Ventilation During Installation of SPF and the new Guidance for Developing a Written Respiratory Protection Program.
New this year, from Sunday, Jan. 26 to Wednesday, Jan. 29, the SFC is making it more convenient than ever for contractors to complete the SPF Chemical Health and Safety Training. Contractors can pop into the Snow Creek room at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel and Palm Springs Convention Center, and in about an hour complete this informative course. This SPF Training provides information about the use, handling and disposal of SPF, in addition to potential health hazards and control measures, including engineering controls and personal protective equipment. Contractors won’t want to miss this opportunity—the High-Pressure SPF Chemical Health and Safety Training satisfies one prerequisite toward completing the SPFA’s Professional Certification Program, and contractors completing our training receive recognition of completion form.
“We hope everyone attending the SPFA Convention and Expo next week in Palm Springs will visit the SFC at booth No. 802. We will have information about our training programs, as well as the latest updates on product stewardship and promotion,” said Lee Salamone, Senior Director of the Center for Polyurethanes Industry at the American Chemistry Council.
The SPFA Convention and Expo will be held at the Renaissance Palm Springs Jan. 26 to 29.
