Raymond J. O'Bryan
Chief Financial Officer & Chief Administrative Officer, American Chemistry Council
As CFO and Chief Administrative Officer of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), Ray oversees the Accounting and Finance, Membership, Meetings and Conferences, Economic and Statistics and CHEMTREC® Divisions. These groups provide strategic planning, information management and back-office administrative services that support the Council’s programs, enhance advocacy and provide member value.
Ray joined the Council in 1985 as Assistant Controller and progressed up the Council’s management ranks, becoming ACC’s Chief Financial Officer in 1998. He has over years of experience in the financial management and reporting arenas, with 35 years here at ACC.
Prior to coming to ACC, Ray held positions as an internal auditor with DynCorp. and in public accounting with a Washington, D.C.-based public accounting firm specializing in not-for-profit organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Greater Washington Society of CPA’s.
Ray received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina.
