Michele Schoeppe
General Counsel, American Chemistry Council
As General Counsel, Michele provides strategic legal guidance on a broad spectrum of issues impacting chemicals and plastics. In her role, she leads ACC’s legal strategy and oversees legal operations, drawing on her nearly 30 years of legal experience and deep industry knowledge.
Before joining ACC, Michele served as Senior Counsel at the American Petroleum Institute (API). Prior to API, she served for many years as an Assistant General Counsel at ACC. She is also a former Ohio Assistant Attorney General.
Michele earned her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
