Deana is a health scientist with OSHA’s Directorate of Standards and Guidance. She is a member of the US delegation to the UN GHS Subcommittee of Experts and was involved in the 20212 and 2024 update of OSHA’s hazard communication standard.
Varun Patel
Industrial Hygienist | OSHA
Varun Patel is an Industrial Hygienist at OSHA’s Directorate of Standards and Guidance, Office of Chemical Hazards - Non-metals. Varun is also a member of the US delegation to the UN’s GHS and TDG Subcommittees and serves as a physical hazard issues expert. Varun is involved in various OSHA rulemaking efforts, including the HazComm 2024 update.
Brenda Finter
Industrial Hygienist | OSHA
Brenda is an industrial hygienist, a CIH and a CSP who joined OSHA in 2021. She began her EHS career in the Army and has over 40 years of experience in the field. She holds a bachelor’s in biology and a master’s in management. Over the course of her career, Brenda was a safety manager for a metals plant and has held industrial hygiene and positions for the Army, chemical manufacturing, utilities, and consulting.
