Manager, Responsible Care® and Corporate Responsibility

The position is responsible for supporting and enhancing strategic communications, media outreach and stakeholder education for the American Chemistry Council (ACC). The position will focus on communications initiatives which emphasize advancing awareness of Responsible Care®, the chemical industry’s leading safety and sustainability initiative, and other Corporate Responsibility (CR) programs. This includes communications support and media outreach for chemical industry programs on safety, environmental stewardship, workforce development, environmental justice, and community engagement, among other issue areas. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Corporate Responsibility and Community Engagement.

Emergency Services Specialist

The position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the assigned shift within the CHEMTREC Operations Center. The position reports directly to the Lead Watch Supervisor.

General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

The position is responsible for protecting ACC’s legal interests and operations, in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws. The position is also responsible for overseeing ACC’s Legal Services staff. The position serves as the chief legal officer for ACC and the Board of Directors, including managing and overseeing Executive Committee and Board operations. The position reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer.

Director, Plastics Sustainability Policy

The position is responsible for the Plastic Sustainability Team’s (PST) state and federal policy in support of the ACC’s circular economy goals for plastics packaging. This position will advance the PST’s circularity goals by navigating highly complex and interrelated issues as well as examine issues, member position, and the political environment to reach consensus. The position will collaborate with State Affairs and Federal Affairs and reports directly to the Senior Director, Plastics Sustainability.

Director, Political Action Committee

The position is responsible for building, maintaining and directing, with the Vice President, Federal Affairs, all activities related to American Chemistry Council's (ACC) Political Action Committee (PAC), including growing the program and soliciting contributors. The position is also responsible for scheduling, planning and executing fundraisers and receptions with members of Congress and/or candidates. The position reports directly to the Vice President, Federal Affairs.
