Open Positions:
Manager, Plastics Sustainability
The position is responsible for supporting plastics sustainability, recycling and advocacy that enable the plastics industry to achieve its recycling goals and policy initiatives. The position will support the Plastics Sustainability Team’s advanced recycling workstream, including its environmental and technical projects, advocacy and communications, as well as support plastics advocacy work with the internal state affairs team and external stakeholders and partners. This position will help advocate for sound plastics sustainability policies at the state level by engaging with value-chain stakeholders and reports directly to the Senior Director, Plastics Sustainability.
Director, Chemical Products and Technology
The position is responsible for supporting several groups under the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and ACC’s Center for Biocide Chemistries, which represents manufacturers and formulators of antimicrobial pesticides. The position is responsible for managing research programs, advocacy, outreach, planning and administration in support of the groups’ objectives. The position works closely with internal and external stakeholders on cross-cutting policy issues. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Chemical Products and Technology (CPT).
Assistant General Counsel
The position is responsible for providing legal counsel and policy support on American Chemistry Council (ACC) advocacy issues, protecting ACC’s legal interests and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. The position is also responsible for managing legal matters in assigned areas, including assisting in the selection of outside counsel as needed, managing outside counsel, and ensuring projects come in at or below budget. The position coordinates legal issues with appropriate in-house ACC clients and colleagues and reports directly to the General Counsel.
Director, Plastics Sustainability Policy
The position supports federal plastics policy development and coordinates American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) federal advocacy workstreams within the Plastics division by working closely with the ACC federal lobbying team. The position is responsible advancing a pro-active policy and advocacy agenda that benefits an integrated plastics value chain. The position is further responsible for leading the planning and execution of key initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, engaging regularly with company government and public affairs representatives and supporting applicable subject matter experts. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Plastics Sustainability.
Director, Federal Affairs
The position is responsible for representing the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and its members on Capitol Hill and, as appropriate, the Executive Branch. The position is also responsible for developing lobbying and related advocacy strategy on assigned issues; managing and collaborating with outside counsel and lobbying consultants; scheduling and facilitating meetings with lawmakers and staff; as well as responding to congressional inquiries and requests to testify at public hearings. The position collaborates closely with appropriate in-house ACC staff and reports directly to the Vice President, Federal Affairs.
Sales Manager, CHEMTREC
The position is responsible for closing prospective clients. The position is also responsible for leading all pre-contract discussions with a prospective client and capturing the opportunity within the CHEMTREC CRM System. This position reports directly to the Senior Sales Manager.
Marketing Specialist, CHEMTREC
The position supports the marketing team and internal stakeholders in several initiatives including the management and execution of webinars, podcasts, and events, as well as our biannual CHEMTREC International Hazmat Summit. The position is responsible for managing CHEMTREC and TRANSCAER’s social media accounts as well as assisting with ordering promotional materials and marketing collateral for events and customer visits. This position reports directly to the Web and Digital Media Manager.
Emergency Services Specialist, CHEMTREC
The position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the assigned shift within the CHEMTREC Operations Center. The position reports directly to the on-duty shift manager and the Operations Manager.
