Business Solutions Developer

The position is responsible for supporting the unique business needs and objectives of departments/divisions within the American Chemistry Council (ACC) through the translation of articulated business requirements into robust technology solutions.  The position manages all phases of software/solution development, including research, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support.  The position is further responsible for assisting in the maintenance of existing applications, including recommending improvements to software functionality, performance and processes.  The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Information Technology.

The position is responsible for protecting ACC’s legal interests and operations, in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws. Director, Global Plastics Policy

The position is responsible for advocacy and coalition building for the Plastics Division to advance circular economy initiatives and sound public policy with key stakeholders across the plastics value chain. The position will leverage technical expertise in multilateral discussions to support the adoption of sound public policies. Director, Plastics Sustainability Policy

The position is responsible for the Plastic Sustainability Team’s (PST) state and federal policy in support of the ACC’s circular economy goals for plastics packaging. This position will advance the PST’s circularity goals by navigating highly complex and interrelated issues as well as examine issues, member position, and the political environment to reach consensus. The position will collaborate with State Affairs and Federal Affairs and reports directly to the Senior Director, Plastics Sustainability.

Director, Political Action Committee

The position is responsible for building, maintaining and directing, with the Vice President, Federal Affairs, all activities related to American Chemistry Council's (ACC) Political Action Committee (PAC), including growing the program and soliciting contributors. The position is also responsible for scheduling, planning and executing fundraisers and receptions with members of Congress and/or candidates. The position reports directly to the Vice President, Federal Affairs.

Managing Director, Global Affairs

The position is responsible for serving as the lead technical resource for the American Chemistry Council’s regulatory advocacy efforts with the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Trade Representative, U.S. Department of Commerce, the Environmental Protection Agency, and other federal and State agencies responsible for international trade and chemical regulatory policy. The position is also ACC’s primary staff contact with the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and supports ACC’s President and CEO with ICCA roles. The position is responsible for leading ACC’s Global Affairs matrix team as well as Global Affairs staff on the administrative, technical, and regulatory advocacy related to international trade and chemical regulation. The position is also responsible for coordinating related technical and regulatory support to other ACC divisions and departments, including product- and sector-specific groups. The position reports directly to the Vice President, Regulatory & Scientific Affairs.
