As President and CEO of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), Chris Jahn is the leader of one of America’s most essential, innovation driven industries and drives the national conversation on why chemical manufacturing strengthens U.S. manufacturing competitiveness. His leadership reflects a core belief: competitiveness is a choice, and American chemistry must be central to America’s economic and industrial leadership. Chris has helped reframe the national conversation around the role of chemistry in strengthening U.S. manufacturing, energy security, supply chain resilience, and affordability for American families.
He has been named by The Hill as one of Washington, DC’s “Top Lobbyists” and by the Washingtonian as one of DC’s “Most Influential People” for representing the U.S. business of chemistry and its customers within the halls of Congress.
Prior to joining ACC, Chris served as President and CEO of The Fertilizer Institute, president of the National Association of Chemical Distributors, and president of the Contract Services Association. He began his career on Capitol Hill, including time as chief of staff to U.S. Senator Craig Thomas (R-WY).
