WASHINGTON (July 1, 2025) – The American Chemistry Council (ACC) today released the following statement regarding Senate passage of H.R. 1. In addition, ACC joined more than 300 organizations, led by the National Association of Manufacturers, in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Thune and House Speaker Johnson highlighting key tax priorities and urging Congress to pass H.R. 1. The following can be attributed to Chris Jahn, ACC President and CEO:
“We applaud the Senate for passing this critical legislation earlier today. H.R. 1 extends the pro-growth policies from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and would enable manufacturers across the country to thrive. Increasing domestic manufacturing investment and making America a manufacturing superpower starts with smart tax policy that provides more certainty for all manufacturers. The House should swiftly pass this important legislation and send it to President Trump’s desk. Our nation’s economic success and competitive edge depend on growing U.S. chemical production and manufacturing more in America.”
