Washington, D.C. (April 1, 2026) – Today, the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) announced a new format for its Professional Development Program (PDP), offering a more flexible, year-round learning model for industry professionals. The 2026 program launches virtually on May 12.

The redesigned program features 15 courses delivered in a hybrid format, combining virtual learning with in-person instruction. Virtual courses will be offered during spring and fall semesters, covering topics such as polyurethane chemistry, bio-based raw materials, battery assembly materials for electric vehicles, life cycle assessments, and polyurethane testing and performance.

Five additional courses will be offered in person beginning October 4, 2026, in conjunction with the 2026 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, providing opportunities for hands-on learning and networking.

For more than 20 years, CPI’s Education Center has offered the PDP to support both experienced professionals and those new to the polyurethane industry. Courses are taught by industry experts and are open to suppliers, producers, chemical and equipment distributors, manufacturers, and marketing professionals across the polyurethane value chain.
