ACC Publishes 2024 Statistical Reference Book On Plastic Resins

Jennifer Killinger

WASHINGTON (May 2, 2024) – The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has just released the 2024 edition of its statistical reference book on plastic resins, Resin Review. This annual publication presents industry data compiled from members of ACC’s Plastics Industry Producers’ Statistics Group and other sources and represents an authoritative resource to help analyze and understand the U.S. plastic resins industry.

The 2024 edition contains detailed tables on North American resin production, sales, industry capacities and utilization rates from 2013-2023. Sales data for major thermoplastic resins are segmented into end-use markets from 2019-2023, and historical data on U.S. plastics production, sales and captive use illustrate key trends from 1973 to 2023.

The publication also explains the basic chemistry and manufacturing processes for plastics, includes material flow and monomer derivatives diagrams, and provides a glossary of basic plastics terms.

The 2024 edition of Resin Review is priced at $400 for a PDF version, plus applicable sales tax, and can be ordered online at https://store.americanchemistry.com/products/the-resin-review-2024.
