Washington, DC (May 4, 2026) – Today, the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) announces the election of new leadership for its Steering Committee, with representatives from Carpenter Co. and COIM USA selected to serve as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively.
Brad Beauchamp, President and CEO of Carpenter Co., has been elected Chair and will serve a two-year term (2026-2028). He succeeds Tobias Haber, Ph.D., of BASF, whose leadership over the past two years helped advance CPI’s priorities across advocacy, product stewardship, and engagement.
“We’ve seen tremendous growth in polyurethanes, and CPI is critical to advancing and advocating for our industry,” said Beauchamp. “As Vice Chair, I thank Tobias for his work and the membership for this honor and look forward to serving as Chair.”
Robert Tauchen, Vice President of Polyurethanes at COIM USA, has been elected Vice Chair and will also serve a two-year term (2026-2028).
“I’m excited to step into this leadership role within CPI,” said Tauchen. “The organization plays a vital role in supporting both member companies and the broader polyurethane industry, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success.”
“We are thrilled to welcome this new leadership team. Their combined expertise and perspectives across the polyurethanes value chain will help guide CPI as the industry continues to evolve and innovate,” said Jason Sloan, Director of CPI.
