ACC Advocacy Academy Logo

The ACC Advocacy Leadership Academy is a six-month program designed to develop current and future leaders within ACC member companies to provide them with a strong foundation and skills for advocating on behalf of their organizations and the business of chemistry. Participants will learn from experienced speakers each month that have spent their careers in politics government affairs, advocacy, public affairs, and communications. Each month focuses on a different advocacy related topic conducted virtually with the program concluding in September with a Washington D.C. Fly-In graduation and day on Capitol Hill meeting with policymakers.

The nomination period for the 2024 cohort will open this winter. For more information visit chemistrymatters.com or contact Collin Brecher.

The Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI)

The Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) was launched in 2020 by ACC, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Chemours and the HBCU Week Foundation. FOSSI is a national program which provides $40,000 scholarships and is open to all students pursuing preferred STEM degrees at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Each FOSSI scholar receives $10,000 per year for four years as well as leadership development, mentoring and internship opportunities with program sponsors.
